Abstract

This article provides a brief overview of the history and importance of global social reports in Spain, focusing attention on the report of the Encuentro Foundation/ Cátedra J. M. Martín Patino de la Cultura del Encuentro. The two and a half decades of uninterrupted annual publication allow us to reconstruct an account of the social, economic and political evolution of our country, which today, according to the Informe España 2018, faces four major challenges: changes in employment and work, demographic, territorial and environmental changes.
