The Theological Conception of Salvation

This article offers a synthesis of the theological vision of salvation. Being aware of the difficulties of the theological discourse on salvation, it must be anchored in the understanding of man as a being of need, desire, and grace. The Christian understanding of salvation starts from the movement of God coming into history to lead man and all creation into communion with him. In this historical process that goes from creation to consummation, the various categories that theology has used to speak of salvation must be integrated (divinization, righteousness, admirable exchange, sacrifice, satisfaction, redemption, transfiguration, etc.).
