Abstract

This article deals with the friendship between Father Coloma and the 17th Duke of Alba. Both were members of the Royal Spanish Academy and they were linked by their research on the Great Duke of Alba and the Queen Mary Stuart. After a duel in Paris in 1905, the Duke of Alba looked for Father Coloma as a confessor. We can see how the Father Coloma had a good relationship with the world of the court. I have used original documents from the Liria Palace Archive.
