Abstract

This article aims to locate school mediation in the field of pro-social behaviours and solidarity with others. The newness in this lies in presenting mediation from volunteering development institutions. It also explains the specific competencies to develop in a mediator: active listening, constructive negotiations, impartiality and self control and pro active communication.
