Abstract

With the use of social media and online platforms to learn about the world around them, young people often experience shortened attention spans and perceive learning as a passive consumption of content. What educational strategies, then, can be explored to counteract these effects? This article highlights the significant potential of Global Citizenship Education and participatory approaches in sustaining attention, enhancing motivation, and fostering a deeper, more meaningful connection with young people.
