Father Pierre Faure (1904-1988), a seminal figure in 20th Century Catholic education, dedicated his life to conceiving and developing a model he called Personalized and Communal Teaching. His work was not limited to simple methodological reform but represented a bold synthesis of the Jesuit spiritual tradition, the philosophical personalism of his time and avant-garde educational movements. His work was disseminated in Spain through the educational work of the Teresian Institution.
