What Do They Really Contribute?

Digital reading platforms have become widely used in schools and educational support contexts. However, their value does not depend on technological features but on the specific reading processes they train. This article analyses which components are addressed by the main platforms currently used in Spain, highlights their limitations, and proposes criteria for selecting them based on a process-oriented and professionally guided perspective.
