Religious Education: 5 School Models

Abstract

Depending on the role that religious education plays in their educational project, there are five models of school. These range from secular schools to confessional or pastoral schools, which integrate religion as a vital part of faith and commitment. Mixed or routine models are also analysed, where religion is maintained more out of tradition than conviction, and Academia S.A., which focuses on academics and has no spiritual involvement.
