The arrival of a new baby in the family requires preparing the older siblings, as it involves a significant adjustment for the family. The author suggests considering the changes that the new arrival brings for the siblings, their feelings before and after, specifically the presence of jealousy, as well as the importance of not making comparisons. He then suggests some strategies for preparing them, depending on their age.
