Abstract

Teaching mathematics is essential because of the nature of the subject. In mathematics, it occurs inculturation instead of an acquisition of knowledge. In this article, the author discuss some aspects that has been proved to be important for the students to acquire a mathematic competence. It also highlights emotional aspects to overcome mental blocks. It also approaches the reader to the study of maths as a way to solve problems.

    Profesor de Matemáticas de Educación Secundaria y universidad. Es autor de varios libros de texto de Matemáticas y otros materiales didácticos para la enseñanza de las Matemáticas. Ha sido ponente o coordinador de grupos de trabajo en diversas actividades de formación del profesorado.
