Abstract

This article intends to show a general vision about the development of education programmes and actions that connect the Museum and the School at Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum. The ultimate goal is to outline the guidelines for the future. It focuses on the transformation throughout years of programmes and real situations: from school visits to academic training of teaches, from the latest costum-made visits to the experience with future teachers, or the experimental communities with teachers.

Author Biographies

  • Ana Andrés, , Área de Educación del Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza
    BA and Masters in Fine Arts and Master in Education, her career is centered in education in museums from the very first beginning. She started working as an educator in MUSAC and Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum. Though she works with all kinds of publics and programs, her work and research is focused in the relationships between the school and the museum around the arts, with teachers at the heart of the change and the transformation with the classroom and day-to-day practices as result of processes.
  • Eva García, , Área de Educación del Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza

    Licenciada en Historia del Arte por la UCM y se ha especializado en Educación en museos realizando el Postgrado de Educador de Museos y el Master en Comunicación y Educación ambos en la Universidad de Zaragoza. Su trayectoria como educadora ha trascurrido por varias instituciones y museos (Museo Sorolla, MUICO, MNCARS de Madrid) y desde el año 2011 es educadora en el Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza. En la actualidad su línea de investigación y acción educativa está centrada en las relaciones museo-escuela a través de acciones y proyectos educativos vinculados al arte.
