The world in four parts

Abstract

The Human Misery Index divides the world into four parts based on standard of living and 10 indicators (health, nutrition, education, wealth, technology, and rights). This division allows us to understand and observe the inequalities that exist between developed and poor countries. The author recommends that this information be used in schools for learning purposes, to compare current events in order to raise students' awareness of reality and encourage critical learning.
