Post-truth and parrhesia in the present time

This article develops a reflection that shows how disaffection is the context of post-truth, whose supposed healing power requires neither involvement nor commitment to the world, although the lack of a common reference context can make us belligerent in defending our perspectives. We also argue that the emergence of what Sören Kierkegaard called the Public Sphere made it possible to put the world within reach of any opinion, but, in the same process, it promoted the emergence of an observer or subject dislocated and detached from the world. We will recover the concept of parrhesia from the perspective of Michel Foucault to suggest forms of involvement with the world that, in addition to making commitment possible, allow us to speak truthfully.
