Projection, co-constitution, and rewriting. Three technical paradigms of the subject-object relation

This article offers a revision of subject-object relations through the lens of the technical paradigms that structure their understanding in contemporary philosophy. It distinguishes three main paradigms—anthropocentric, anthropotechnical, and technodigital—which help to analyze how the ontological status of the object varies according to the relevance and role attributed to the subject, to technics, and to cultural operations of inscription. To undertake this analysis, the article considers not only the prevailing notion of the object within each paradigm, but also the ways in which knowledge, legacies, and affects are configured through technical objectifications and cultural imaginaries. Rather than providing an exhaustive typology, the study seeks to interpret the differences in the conception of these relations in light of the effects of technical novelty and the value systems operating at the core of specific ontologies.
