The question about the possible complementarity between the notion of background of Charles Taylor and the Heidegger’s Mitsein (Being-with) seeks to inquire not only about the possibility of a coherence between two notions of diverse authorship, but to verify if the Taylor's background contains in itself an ontological dimension towards the other that belongs to him in property. The aim is to show how the Heideggerian world is, for Taylor, perfectly consistent with the Heideggerian background and how Mitsein is found in a non-explicit way in the Canadian's philosophy.
