Abstract

Bioethics encompasses a broad diversity of internal perspectives, and this article emphasizes that much of this plurality stems from the wide range of issues it addresses. The aim is to analyze bioethics from its key questions. The main problems and challenges arise in a variety of historical and social contexts, including research involving human subjects, technical‑scientific developments, conflicts in biomedical care, advances in biological research—particularly in genetics—, the exclusion of vulnerable individuals and groups from health and social care, and the unease provoked by impasses and emerging questions. The analysis highlights that these themes are relevant and demand appropriate reflection, suitable methodologies, and dialogue with different disciplines, thereby demonstrating the internal diversity of bioethics. This diversity enriches debate, fosters the accumulation of experience, and uncovers new pathways in response to emerging issues.
