La heresiología española, disciplina poco explorada pese a su relevancia para la historia eclesiástica y dogmática, ofrece herramientas fundamentales para identificar, prevenir y refutar errores doctrinales. Este estudio aborda la heresiología general en España, incluyendo tanto a autores nacionales como a obras extranjeras traducidas o reeditadas en el país. Se destaca la importancia de las ediciones críticas y anotadas, que han enriquecido significativamente obras clásicas del siglo XIX, pese a ciertas limitaciones en sus planteamientos iniciales. El texto subraya el valor de estas contribuciones para el desarrollo de la ciencia teológica en el ámbito hispánico.
