Con la presente disertación se pretenden subrayar aquellos fundamentos teológicos de la Asunción corporal de María a los cielos que ofrezcan a la reflexión una cierta novedad, para lo que se hace valer la íntima conexión de la Asunción, ya sea con los principios fundamentales de la Mariología, ya sea con otras verdades mariológicas dogmáticamente definidas. A tal efecto, se aducirá al argumento escriturístico del Protoevangelio, al hecho de la creencia universal y los Apócrifos asuncionistas en cuanto a la Tradición y, por último, se apuntará de manera sucinta a la razón teológica por vía de conclusión.
