Abstract

We offer a brief introduction and a spanish translation of the text of the German Sermon 68 by Master Eckhart, Scitote, quia prope est regnum Dei (according to the numbering of the critical edition), and sermon 88, Post dies octo vocatum est nomen eius Iesus. Both sermons present the principal Eckhartian themes: the encounter with God as the source of eternal happiness and fulfillment; the «here and now» of God; the receptivity of the human being before God; equanimity and detachment as conditions for union with God.
