Abstract

The author studies the need of a new evangelization in Spain and in Europe as the consequence of the strong process of secularization lived in the last half century. He checks different existing positions before the religious fact that they claim an evangelizing differentiated action: atheism, agnosticism, religious indifference, belonging to other religions, as well as two types of Catholicism that calls the «Catholics of the expressive individualism» and the «cultural Catholics». Each of these positions is analyzed theological and sociologically.
