The author carries out a first presentation of the motu proprio reforming the CIC De concordia inter Codices analyzing the goals the rule pursues, the context that has occasioned it, and the main fields of impact: introducing the concept Church sui iuris into the CIC, harmonizing the norms related to ascription and transition from a Church sui iuris to another, some issues related to marriage between Oriental Catholics, or between an Oriental part and a Latin one, and, in an ecumenical context, the introduction of some rules related to the relations with non-Catholic faithful. Finally, from a positive valuation of the reform, some proposals are presented.
