Priestly Christology in Juan de Avila
Keywords:
reform, christology, priesthood, ordained ministryAbstract
In the historical context of the Lutheran Reform that has contested the sacrament of the Order, S. Juan of Avila offers in his writings a reflection on the priesthood of Jesus Christ, following the Epistle to the Hebrews. This interpretation enriches the theology and the spirituality of the ordained ministry today, without damaging the common priesthood of all believers and baptized.
