Abstract

Recent studies and documents allow the author to answer these three questions about the relationship between the Church and the 2nd Spanish Republic: How much truth was in the famous Azaña saying: Spain is no more Catholic? During this time; did the Spanish Church search the concord or the confrontation? In view of what happened in 1936, after the republican years, Was it possible the peace?
