The Non-confessional State as the Right Balance between two Extremes

Constitutional regimes in Spain at the time of the Second Republic and the era of General Franco are studied in this article. They are necessary background for a correct comprehension of article 16.3 of the current Spanish Constitution, in so far as the 1978 constitution avoids the return to previous ones. After an analysis of several current confessional and non confessional systems, the Spanish system is described as non confessional and cooperative with the Church and other confessions.Downloads
