In Spain, the importance of being enrolled in the «Registro de Entidades Religiosas» (Register of Religious Entities) is beyond doubt. This article analyses severalitems concerning the process of registration, such as the legal requirements and the process of resolving enrolment proceedings in the General Directorate of Religious Affairs in the Ministry of Justice. Also considered are some questions about the extent of the Public Administration’s authority both on discerning religious aims and controlling the registration process.Downloads
