Abstract

This article reviews the main contributions of Karl Rahner to the theology of the Holy Trinity, especially through the concepts of communion and self-giving, departing from the old paradigms of substance and subject. The shortcomings and problems of this theology are also exposed. Rahner’s own contributions are further developed by going deeper into the mystery and soteriological significance of Holy Trinity.
