This article studies the merits and the limits of Karl Rahner’s interpretation of transcendental experience. Firstly, Rahner’s coherent and brilliant theology conceives God as a Mystery and the infinity towards which human beings are intrinsically open. This vision roots Anthropology in Christology. Secondly, there is an explanation of the reductionism which consists of conceiving human beings only as pure transcendentality and God’s initiative only as a categorical datum compared to that transcendentality.Downloads
