Attention is a cognitive process that allows us to direct our mental resources toward relevant stimuli, enabling the perception, processing, and response to information. A key capacity in life—and particularly in education—attention is like a muscle that can be trained and strengthened. What does this entail? Learning to focus and release attention at will, with a certain degree of control. Practices such as mindfulness, conscious breathing, and self-observation can help us achieve this.
