This article initially analyzes the essence of scientism and the assumptions on which it is built and sustained (ontological, epistemological and socio-anthropological of history). Along the article, Zubiri’s criticism to this doctrine and his philosophical proposals to overcome it are carefully exposed and analyzed throughout the three stages that shaped his philosophical way.
