In Spain, teacher education still appears fragmented between university preparation, entry into the profession, early career support, and continuing professional development. This article looks at those stages as a continuum and reviews the foundations and models that currently show stronger support: practice-connected training, structured mentoring, collaborative learning, and professional development closely tied to real improvement in teaching.
