Rescuing the memory of the Jesuit Vicente Requeno (1743-1811), passionate neoclassical
Abstract
Two hundred years ago, the Aragonese Jesuit Vicente Requeno (Calatorao, 1743-Tivoli, 1811) died. Seeing that the important theoretical contribution of this scholar obsessed by the myth of classical perfection may go unnoticed, we present his biobliographic features, emphasizing his pictorial, musical and telegraphic studies, at the same time that we highlight his Aragonese and Spanish roots, since he is frequently believed to be Italian.
