The Catholic Church and tradition: a necessary debate

There has been some discussion lately about the desirability of changing some traditions in the Catholic Church. It is appropriate to move the debate to a more fundamental question about the value and scope of the traditions in this Church; to this end, arguments for and against are reviewed. We suggest some possible lines of action in the light of these analyses.
