Abstract

Partiendo del referéndum constitucional convocado por el presidente del Perú, el autor analizaba la evolución política del país en los últimos años. Examinaba los gobiernos militares, el retorno a la democracia con Belaúnde, la frustrada experiencia de Alan García y el ascenso de Fujimori, acompañado de un severo ajuste económico y del controvertido «fujigolpe». Asimismo, repasaba la situación política, militar, económica, social, laboral y educativa del Perú, dejando abierto el interrogante sobre su futuro tras la ajustada victoria de Fujimori en la consulta del 31 de octubre de 1993.
