La lengua española, ante los retos del 2000

Trescientos millones de hispanohablantes hacen del español una de las lenguas más importantes del planeta. Vehículo mundialmente reconocido para expresar las riquezas de la literatura y las artes, resulta menos creativo para la novedad de las ciencias y las técnicas. Ante una civilización cada vez más volcada hacia lo tecnocientífico, el español necesita reaccionar firmemente para no quedarse en una lengua secundaria. El autor sugiere instrumentos adecuados para afrontar la tarea de mantener el español en vanguardia cara al próximo milenio.
