Jesus and money
Abstract
Human beings, including Christians, tend to misinterpret everything that is beyond us. Neither in his time nor now have the followers of Jesus agreed on the meaning of such an evangelical phrase as: "You cannot serve God and Money" (Mt 6.24 and Lk 16.13). Behind these words hides the world of greed and insecurity, the world of the rich and that of the poor. Interpreting it superficially can lead us to continue considering the question of the poor more as an ethical question than as a Christological and pneumatological question. Matter in which we risk either being Christians or not at all.
