Abstract

Based on an observation by K. Barth, the author highlights the dialectic that constitutes the human being, between his great fragility and his enormous power. When the balance between these two traits is broken, incredible torrents of evil can flow from people. But treasures of goodness can also come out when the balance is maintained, and the humility of the fragile envelops human power. These lessons are evident in many anecdotes of the coronavirus. And they end up leading in some way to the question of God to teach us that the affirmation of God does not mean the denial of misfortune, but the possibility offered to convert misfortune into grace.
