El trabajo describió la situación de las mujeres latinoamericanas y las estrategias desarrolladas para mejorar sus condiciones de vida. Frente a las dictaduras, la crisis económica y la violencia, las mujeres intensificaron su trabajo y sus responsabilidades familiares, al tiempo que ampliaron su participación en grupos, asociaciones y movimientos sociales como forma de respuesta y organización colectiva.
